First, the materials are different. Resin model kits are usually made of resin materials, while plastic model kits are made of plastic.

              

    Secondly, the process is different. Resin model kits often require more process steps, including mold making, painting, and assembly. Plastic model kits are usually pre-made model parts that only need to be assembled.

 
            

Third, the details and the texture are different. Due to the complicated process of making the resin model kit, the details can usually be reproduced more accurately, making the model more realistic. And the details of the plastic model kit may be relatively simplified.
