Is the resin model fragile? Things you need to know

Under normal circumstances, a fully cured resin does not break up easily. In fact, it should not have broken up at all. The resin does not rupture spontaneously in the absence of problems. So, what could go wrong?

1. Gravity

Curing a resin with a greater hardness will break up if it falls on a hard surface. How do you know whether a large curing hardness resin is used?

The simple rule is that the resin used for casting is cured harder than the resin used for coating. Any article made from a more cured resin will crack or break if it falls on a hard surface. This includes all cured resin types with greater hardness.

2. Stick the resin to other objects

Resins, if bonded to other objects, such as a piece of wood, may break along the seam, especially if they contract greatly during the resin curing process. This is usually not a problem with epoxy, but one of the challenges of using polyester resin.

3. Crack

Resins with cracks are more likely to break, even if not dropped. Cracks in the resin are not normal.
